Clifford R. Clary, 83, of Marcellus, died thursday at Loretto. Born in Solvay he resided in Marcellus for 52 years. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the American Legion Ralph Share Post 207. He was a medical Captain in the army during WWII serving in Normandy, France, and Germany and was involved in the liberation of the Dakau Concentration Camp. He also worked for the Village of Marcellus Highway Department. He is predeceased by his wife, Mabel in 2001. Survived by his son, Mark ( Penny ) of Marietta; three granddaughters, Melissa, Rachel and Cameo Clary; and one great grandson Tyler Christian Clary. Services 4 p.m. Saturday at the Norris Funeral home. Spring burial will be in Highland Cemtery, Marcellus. Calling hours will be from 1 to 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 33 North Street, Marcellus. Contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
