Jack Armstrong was born September 28, 1893, to Solomon and Mary Liza Ford Armstrong in Rogers, Arkansas.
He went into the Army September 17, 1917, and served in the 132 F.A. 36th Division until March 12, 1919. Then he served in the National Guard until March 16, 1923.
He married Hattie Nan Vaughan December 4, 1922. They had three children: Johnnie Evelyn, born Oct. 25, 1923; Joe Nolen, born Dec. 1, 1924; and Charles Irvin, born September 13, 1926.
Jack became ill with cancer and died May 7, 1970.
