Elizabeth was born in Axtell, Texas, to the late Frank and Mary Marek Mach. On June 26, 1944, she married Fred Edwin Kubitza Sr. in Waco. Elizabeth was a homemaker who was very active in her community. She served in the McLennan County voting process as an election judge, alternate judge and clerk. She was treasurer for the RVOS Lodge #50 for many years and was a member of SPJST Lodge #35, where she volunteered most of her life until her stroke. She served as secretary-treasurer for the SPJST Pavelka Cemetery Association, was a lifetime member of Hallsburg PTA, an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mart, and was her brother-in-law's guardian. Elizabeth was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, and friend. She loved cooking, gardening, dancing, playing dominoes and doing puzzles. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed numerous family gatherings, including the annual Easter egg hunt. Granny was always busy, loved doing things for others, and there was always room at her table for one more.
