Timothy 'Tim' H. Hall, 57, of Springfield went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, May 20, 2009 with his beloved family by his side in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High Campus. He was born August 9, 1951 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of James and Irene (Casey) Hall. Tim was a graduate of Northeastern High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Active USA in 2008 and was a member of the Teamsters Local 654 and Retirees Club. Tim was also a member of the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union. He was an avid farmer, enjoyed camping but most of all he loved his family dearly and his grandchildren were his life. Tim will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 36 years, Betty L. (Bishop) Hall; one daughter, Jennifer Hall of Springfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Heidi Hall of Springfield; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Ed McFann of Springfield and Marci and Fred Williams of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Earlene Hall of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bob and Sandy Hall of Durango, Colorado and Paul and Ellen Hall of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Bradley and Megan Hall; numerous nieces and nephews and his two dogs/best friends, Chloe and Maggie.
On behalf of Tim's entire family, they would like to thank everyone for their love and support, especially 3 South Oncology and a special thanks to Kathy Wagner RN, Beth Slultz RN, Hospice Nurse Katie and Dr. Filix Kencana.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1101 North Main Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078 with Pastor David Van Hoose and Pastor Tom Amlin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
