DIED SUDDENLY IN DRUG STORE - Hammondsport, Jan. 13, 1934 - On Saturday afternoon, January 8th, Theodore H. Abbott, who resides on the Mitchellsville Road, suddenly expired in the M. A. Hoyt drug store. He had purchased some articles of which he paid, he dropped the money and purse. Mr. Hoyt noticed this and grasped him as he was about to fall. He expired a few minutes later.
He was born April 26, 1838 and was 71 years old. He had lived in Hammondsport the greater part of his life, where he was a farmer. Of late years he was a great sufferer form rheumatism, being badly crippled but nevertheless quite active. He possessed a very cheerful disposition and was an honest, kindhearted neighbor and friend. He leaves beside a wife, an adopted daughter, Belle, and a brother Frank Abbott of Pulteney and several nieces and nephews. the funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Methodist minister of Wheeler, officiating. Burial was made at Pleasant Valley.
