TEMPLETON -- Funeral services for Harold A. "Doc" Hook, 67 of 811 Patriots Rd., were held Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Ault, pastor of the First Church of Templeton, officiating.

Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery in Templeton and the bearers were; Kenneth Dupuis, Jared Dupuis, Adam Hook, Rick Whipple and Mike Lemere.

A family gathering was held at the Kamaloht in East Templeton.

Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol directed arrangements.

TEMPLETON -- Harold A. Hook, 67, of 811 Patriots Rd., died Sunday, Nov.22, 2009 at the Highlands in Fitchburg, following an illness.

Harold was born in Templeton, Mass., May 8, 1942, the son of Henry and Letina (Seeley) Hook. He grew up and has lived in Templeton all of his life, attending Templeton schools.

He owned and operated Hook's Auto Body for over 40 years, enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his family and his golden retriever "Duke."

He leaves his wife of 46 years, Janice (Minns) Hook; a son, Alan Hook of Templeton; a daughter, Sharon Lemere and her husband Mike of Orange; three grandsons, Kenneth and Jared Dupuis and Adam Hook; a granddaughter, Lauren Hook and a great-grandson, Landen Dupuis. He also leaves three sisters; Ann Chalmers of Florida, Pearl Beaman of Winchendon and Frances Pierce of Ashburnham and a brother, Harold Sargent of Maine.

A private funeral service will be held at Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol, with the Rev. William Ault, pastor of the Templeton Congregational Church, officiating. There are no calling hours and burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Templeton.
