Harlan Becraft, Peru, Expires at Residence
PERU, Ind – Harlan Becraft, 92, a Peru resident for the last 45 years, died at 5:15 am Sunday at his home, 116 W 2nd Street, after an illness of 15 days.
Born March 8, 1863, at Utica, N.Y., to Mr and Mrs John Becraft, he was married to Mary Gilbert, who died in 1910. In 1915, he was married to Mary (Cowger) Clymer, who also preceded him in death.
A member of the First Christian church, he was a salesman for the Indianapolis Star.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs Emily Pohlman of Convina, CA, and a step-daughter, Miss Goldie Clymer of Kokomo. Two sisters are deceased.
The body was removed to the Drake-Flowers Mortuary, where final rites will be held at 10 am Wednesday, with the Rev Avery Miley in charge. Burial will be in Crown Point cemetery, Kokomo.
