William Horn was born in Sullivan county. Eastern Tennessee, January 1, 1846, and departed this life April 18, 1920, aged 74 years, 4 months and 17 days. Coming with his parents, Jacob and Jane Horn, to this country at the age of 9 years, the remainder of his life was spent here. On September 22, 1870, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Guge. To this union three children were born, all of whom, and the mother, survive the deceased. The children are: Mrs. Martha Harmon, Mrs. Loretta Breedlove of Kokomo, and Frank Horn, who has always stayed with his father and mother. Mr. Horn is also survived by ten grandchiidren and two great grand-children; also by four sisters, namely: Mrs. Edna Walls of Logansport, Mrs. Martha Frazee of Marion, Mrs. Jane Earlywlne of West Middleton, and Miss Mary Horn of Kokomo. His parents, two sisters and three brothers preceded him to the tomb. Mr. Horn was one of the staunchest pioneer citizens of this community and had done much toward making it the prosperous law-abiding community it is today. Hs was known as an obliging neighbor and a loving father. While not a church member he was a regular attendant upon all church services until his last illness. Mr. Horn Is sadly missed by a host of relatives and friends who are left to mourn his loss, but our loss is heaven's gain.
