She was born on June 13, 1951 in Brownsburg, Ind. to Matthew Raleigh and Lottie Jane (Meyerholz) Trueblood.
She married Fred C. Gebbink on December 29, 1973 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Metamora. He survives.
Also surviving are three children Julie (Doug) Seeley of Elmwood, Shane (Rae Deane) Gebbink of Pueblo, Colo., Jennifer (Jay) Collins of St. Louis, MO, eight grandchildren Austin Seeley, Ashley Seeley, Luke Gebbink, Parker Collins, Libby Gebbink, Jackson Collins, Braden Collins, and Olivia Collins, two brothers Raymond (Esther) Trueblood of Pekin, Bill (Sue) Trueblood of Peoria, three sisters Lou (Ben) Boles of Washington, Ill., Shirley (Alvin) Kempton of Tekonsha, Mich., and Carroll Phillips of Choctaw, Okla, and sister in law Gloria Trueblood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles (Peggy) Trueblood, Gary Trueblood, and sister Wanda Selby.
Elaine was a homemaker, she had formerly worked for Punkin Bears, Bob's Red Fox, Jim's Shurfine, and had demonstrated chips and snacks for Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips. She was also head cook for 25 years at Faith Bible Camp in Bradford, Ill.
Elaine was a member of the Baptist Church of Brimfield, where everyone loved to hear her sing above the rest. She loved to interact with her grandchildren and enjoyed following her children's activities throughout school.
One of her strongest attributes was her faithfulness in the Lord, even through her illnesses. Her presence inspired us all.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood, where visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Elmwood Twp. Cemetery in Elmwood.
