Born at Huttenbusch 12B, parish Worpswede, Prussia
Immigrated to USA aboard the ship "D.H. Watjen", embarking from Bremen, and arriving in New Orleans 25 Nov 1857. She traveled with her brother Hinrich Grother and his family.

She married Christian Bergmann at Monsees Lutheran Church in Benton County, Missouri 30 Jan 1861.
They were the parents of ten known children:
