Dona Mae Riley, daughter of the late Emil and Winnie (Benjamin) Pomering, was born on February 22, 1933 in Plainfield, Wisconsin, and passed away on October 7, 2007 in the St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 74 years, 7 months, and 13 days of age.

Dona grew up in Rockford, Illinois and attended the Sandy Holler School. She was united in marriage to Marvin Riley on May 7, 1951 in Rockford. One son was born to this union.

Dona enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, tending to her gardens and working around their home. She and Marvin enjoyed farm life had lived north of Mtn. Grove for over forty-five years.

She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years: Marvin Riley of their home; her son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Joyce Riley of Mtn. Grove; one brother: Gerald Pomering of the State of Arizona; one grandson: Joe Riley; one great-grandson: Zach Riley; other relatives and friends.
