Died at his home five miles southwest of Princeton.
83 years old.

He and his wife, came to Franklin County in November 1869. They took up a farm and have lived on it ever since.

Survived by his wife, Angeline; eight children: P. W. Gentry of Clarksville, TX, T. T. Gentry of Kingfisher, OK, Mrs. C. F. Dietrich of Richmond, Mrs. Emma Dietrich of Helena, Montana, Mrs. Bessie Spaulding of Richmond, James H. Gentry of Oneida, KS, Ben Gentry of Ottawa, and E. C. Gentry of Richmond; forty grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two brothers: G. W. Gentry and Thomas Gentry, both of Drexel, MO.
