Mr. Clifford H. Azer, 87, of Willett Street, Fort Plain, Ny died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. He was born in Ames, NY, a son of Charles H and Emma Miller Azer. He married Madelyn A Herron Bernstein in August 1972 in Canajoharie, NY. Madelyn died in 1995. He is survived by his stepchildren, Bruce E (Fran) Bernstein, Hyattsville, MD, Barbara (Howard) Fassett, Cherry Valley, NY, the late Robert L (Evelyn A) Bernstein, Canajoharie, NY, many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by a special nephew, Barry Yerdon, Nelliston. A graveside service will take place at a later date in the Fort Plain Cemetery. At Clifford's request, there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
