Marjorie (Garvin) Swartz, 83, died Dec. 7, 2009 of natural causes at her home in Anchorage. She was born on May 9, 1926 in St. John, KS. Following graduation she studied for two years at a university in Texas. She was a resident of St. John, and Missoula, MT. and moved to Alaska in 1982. She was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by son Zane Swartz and spouse of Puallop, WA., son Grant Swartz and spouse of Salt Lake City, UT. daughter Jennifer Bartlett and spouse of Oklahoma City, OK., nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Warren E. Swartz, oldest son, Daine Swartz, and oldest daughter, Susan (Swartz) Clemans.
