Funeral for Mrs. Mamie Ashford, 71, Athens Rt. 8, was Friday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. George L. Kress officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Ashford died Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew T. Ashford; two sons, Eddie and English of Athens; three sisters, Mrs. H.M. Johnson of Gadsden, Mrs. Herbert Mize and Mrs. Ed Neal, both of Pulaski, Tenn.; two brothers, Joe L. McLean of Nashville, Tenn., and Buddy McLean of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dr. Dexter Dunnavant, Dave Grisham, Harold and Bob Smith.
