Bill was born August 27, 1953 in Salt Lake City, UT to Willard Linnell Fullmer Jr. and LaVern Rachel Fautin. He left this mortal life on December 4, 2009.
He married Sandra Powell on July 5, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of three children. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than his family. They were deeply loved and were always his first priority.
He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, a Master's degree in Social Work, and an Administrator's endorsement from Utah State University. For 31 years he was employed by the Davis School District. Positions included: Social Worker, Special Ed teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. At the time of his death, he was the Principal of Farmington Junior High. He was concerned about his students and wanted them to succeed.
Bill served in the Utah Air National Guard for 35 years. He retired with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, the highest rank obtainable for an enlisted person. Not only did he have a profound love for his country, but also for the valiant men and women with whom he served. These friendships were greatly valued.
Bill served an LDS mission to Hong Kong. He never lost his love for the Asian people. Later in life he returned to host several tour groups in China with his wife. Bill was regarded as a man of good character with great leadership qualities. His faithfulness served him well in many different church callings, his favorite being that of Bishop, for he truly loved the people he served. His gentle and compassionate ways inspired many
He was known for his engaging sense of humor. He had the ability to tease those he loved without offending. Adventurous and fun-loving, Bill enjoyed traveling, snow/water skiing, swimming, running, and basketball.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sandy; children, Russell (Heather), Megan (Corey) Dabb, and Rachel; one grandchild, Isaac Dabb; and sisters, Sharon (Gary) Howe, Linda (Michael) Smith, and Becky (Mark) Mathie.
To honor Bill's service to education, a contribution to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
