Mary Baugh Howlett was
widowed from her husband
Thomas Howlett 1627–1685.
Records show 1 son/stepson
Thomas Howlett Jr 1680–1724.
She married abt 1692 to Thomas
Byrd 1654-1710.

In July 1710 Thomas Howlett, Jr.
(son or stepson of Mary Howlett Byrd)
was granted leave to administer the
estate of his deceased mother, Mary Byrd,
after the death of Thomas Byrd, with
Captain Thomas Jefferson entering himself
security.

Note:
There are many accounts of this
Mary Baugh. Some say she was born
much earlier, Abt 1640. This would
not have her young enough to be a
mother in 1695. Some say that she
married Thomas Byrd much later after
1704 due to court records dated Nov 1
1704 saying her name was Mary Ayscough.
Some say Thomas Byrd had no children
since none was mentioned at his death
from court records.
This may forever remain a mystery as
we have no real birth, marriage or death
records from the times.
