Age 61 of Canal Fulton, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009. Gary was born in Alliance and had been a resident of Canal Fulton for 32 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War and a truck driver for Wooster Motorways. He was a member of SS Philip & James Catholic Church, Former Grand Knight, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus #11037, Ham Radio Operator and he had coached Youth Baseball and Basketball.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll and his wife, Margaret; mother, Ida Russo. Gary is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Shirley Blagg; son, Ryan Blagg of Massillon; daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) Huss of US Army, Columbus, Ga.; grandchildren, Payton Huss, Quenton Huss and Zachary Blagg; sister, Nancy (Craig) Korver and stepfather, Anthony (and his wife Daisy) Russo.
Mass of the Christian Burial TUESDAY, 10 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 N. High St. Canal Fulton with Fr. John Warner officiating. Procession will form at the church. Burial with Military Honors by VFW #9795 at Canal Fulton Union Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY 2-5 p.m. AT THE CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd. #260 Independence, Ohio 44131 or M.E.C.C.A., Canal Fulton
