Blanche Dorthea Cotton, 85, passed away December 20, 2009. She was born October 4, 1924, to the late Harry A. and Pearlie (Grabbe) Smith. She graduated from Davis High School in 1942. Blanche was a member of Lynhurst Baptist Church, having served as deaconess, camp counselor, and Sunday School teacher. Blanche married Hollis Porter Cotton on April l3, 1943. Blanche was preceded in death by Hollis; daughter, Betty Cummins; and granddaughter, Jean Cummins. She is survived by daughters, Wanda (Dennis) Thompson, Janet (David) Webb, and Kathi (Ray) Schroeder; a son, David (Shirley) Cotton; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother, Ralph (Marie) Smith. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Chapel of the Chimes. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. this evening. Entombment will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens.
