Mr. Leslie Stone Wells, 83, of 341 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, VA went to be with his Lord at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.

He was the son of the late Peter Thomas Wells and Nannie Palmer Wells. He married the late Elsie Elizabeth Aaron on December 24, 1913.

He was retired from American Funiture Company and was of the Christian faith.

Surviving are daughter Mrs. Gladys Hubbard of Callands, VA, three sons Carlton Wells of Chesapeake, VA, Ryland Wells of Ridgeway, VA and Robert Wells of Martinsville, VA, 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are five sisters Mrs. Dave Stanford and Mrs. Virginia Turner of Martinsville, Mrs. Frances Mills and Mrs. Algie Parrish of Danville, VA and Mrs. Blanche Holland of Whitmell, VA and two brothers Thomas Wells of Danville and Eugene Herman Wells of Richmond, VA.

Funeral services were held at County Line Christian Church.

Burial was in the Church cemetery.
