Nettie Jane Grasher, daughter of Charles Christopher and Margaret Ellen Blake Armstrong, was born in Benton County, Missouri, January 21, 1889, and passed away at the Clinton General Hospital December 23, 1967. She suffered a heart attack on February 14, 1967 after which her health continued to fail. She spent the last seven weeks in the hospital.

All of her married life was spent in the Hartwell community until the death of her husband in October, 1950, when she moved to Clinton.
At and early age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and joined the Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she was a charter member, and later joined the Hartwell Baptist Church; when she moved to Clinton, she moved her membership to Allen Street Baptist Church.
