Willie Doyle Berry, 91, of Mineral Wells, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, in Mineral Wells.

Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at the Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel.

Mr. Berry was born July 19, 1918, in Texas, the son of William David and Sally Millsap Berry. He married Patricia Louise Jones, Nov. 21, 1944, in Charleston, S.C. She preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2008. He moved to Mineral Wells in 1945 and was a member of the Central United Methodist Church. He was an accountant and a member of the Texas Association of Public Accountants, the Optimist Club and served on the Palo Pinto General Hospital board for eight years. He was a five-year veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.

Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Wright and husband, Homer, of Garland, Texas, and Susan Beamon and husband, Frank, of Mineral Wells; son, Bill Berry and wife, Jane, of Mineral Wells; sister, Lucy Cooper, of Hamlin, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
