Mrs. Wiles was born on March 8, 1947 in Ashe County to the late Denver Dale and Ruth Wyatt Coldiron. She was a member of Gillespie Community Church in Lansing and took care of the annual Children's Christmas program in the community. Mrs. Wiles was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was like a mother to many children and touched many lives.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Gillespie Community Church by the Rev. Jim Francis and the Rev. Bud Pugh. Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Gillespie Community Church prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Wiles is survived by: her husband of 41 years, James L. Wiles; two daughters, Robin Nethery and husband, Neal, of Lansing, Lisa Brown and husband, Thomas, of Creston; one son, Jamie Wiles and wife, Katrina, of Lansing; five sisters, Carolyn Blevins and husband, Dean, of Lansing, Sally Perry and husband, Billy Joe, of Lansing, Betty Greer and husband, Boomer, of Lansing, Lynn Greer and husband, Sam, of Lansing, Becky Porter and husband, Tim, of Grassy Creek; one brother, Dean Eldreth and wife, Eleanor, of West Jefferson; ten grandchildren, Matt Nethery, Kendra Nethery, Dustin Wiles, Noelle Wiles, Holly Wiles, Brittney Wiles, Sonia Reese, Tyler Reese, Nick Wiles, T.J. Brown. Also surviving are three aunts, one uncle, and several nieces and nephews.
