Florence A. Trujillo, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 5, 2009.

She was born on May 10, 1929 in Gonzales, CA to Pedro and Angela Alvarado. She was a Seaside resident and homemaker for over 57 years. In her early years, she worked in the canneries and was an usher at the State Theatre.

She was a devoted wife of 59 years to Daniel who never left her side. She will be remembered for her gentle kindness, great sense of humor, and she leaves behind a strong legacy of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lalo and Phil (Maryon) Alvarado. She is survived by her brothers, Nick, Pete, and Manuel Alvarado; and sister, Virginia Lucero (Daniel); six children, Barbara Carballo, Daniel, Jr. (Marki), Ricky, Carol Daniels, Kathleen Gutteriez, and Marc (Angie); grandchildren, Danny III, Danette, Douglas (Marcie), Charlie (April), Michael, Lenise, Nicole, Jessica, and Jonnathon; and great grandchildren, Daniel IV, Elyssa, Charles, Danielle, and Christopher.

The viewing will be held on Thursday,December 10, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1475 LaSalle, Seaside. Interment will be at Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time. Donations in Florence's name may be made to Heartland Hospice or the donor's favorite charity.
