Survived by brothers, Wm. Donald Brown, III and Michael Wm. Coleman; sisters, Michelle P. Brown, M.D. and Barbara J. Brown, Ph.D.; nephews, Wm. Xavier, Daniel Hunter, and Darian Harrison Rice; aunts, Therrell C. Smith, Johanna Smith Wood, and Marion Smith Haynes; many loving cousins; godmother, Jacqueline Polk Little, and his many friends. Known as "The Music Teacher" he taught privately and performed professionally throughout the Mpls. metro area for many years.
Private service and interment held at Lakewood Cemetery on Tuesday, 12/22/09. An expanded obituary will be forthcoming, and a memorial celebration for Tom will be held in the metro area during the Summer of 2010 by his family, friends, and students from across the US.
