ELIZABETH BOONE, 80, New Haven, died at 12:15 a.m., March 30, 1991, at Flaget Memorial Hospital, Bardstown. A native of Nelson County, Boone retired in 1978 after being a housekeeper for St. Catherine Church Rectory for many years. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Victor Ivo and Mary Willie Watson Boone; four brothers, David, Ivo, Miles and Creeps Boone; and five sisters, Bernadette, Louise, Willie, Stella and Margaret Boone. Survivors include: one brother, Felix Boone of New Haven; and three sisters, Kathleen Hagan and Jessie Cecil, both of New Haven, and Alberta Boone of Howardstown. The funeral Mass was held April 1, at St. Catherine Church, New Haven, with burial in Our Lady of Gethsemani Cemetery, Trappist. Fr. Paul M. Russell, former pastor of St. Catherine, officiated. Pallbearers were Eddie, Cecil, J. C., Charlie and J. B. Boone, Paul Hagan and Robert Sweat. A vigil service was held March 31 at 7 p.m. at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven. They were in charge of the arrangements.
