RITES HELD FOR MRS. V. I. BOONE AT NEW HAVEN - MRS. MARY WILLIE BOONE, 79, wife of V. I. Boone, died at her home near New Haven, Saturday, February 2. Mrs. Boone was the mother of 15 children, 4 deceased. Her husband and the following children survive: Mrs. Frances E. Hall, Buechel, Ky.; Mrs. Joe Cecil, Louisville; Mrs. T. J. Sweat, Mrs. W. O. Sweat, J. M. and J. C. Boone, Lebanon Junction, Ky.; Mrs. Delime Boone, Howardstown; Mrs. Paul Hogan, New Haven; David, Felix and Elizabeth Boone, New Hope; also 59 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Watson, Louisville; six sisters, Mrs. Margaret Figg, Louisville; Mrs. Russell Greenwell, Mrs. George O'Bryan, Mrs. Anne Elmore, Bardstown; Mrs. Edna Hicks, New Haven, and Mrs. Lottie Willett, Trappist. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Catherine's Church. Rev. Fred J. Gettelfinger, pastor, was celebrant; Rev. Lawrence Hardesty, New Haven, deacon; Rev. Bernard Hartledge, New Hope, sub-deacon. Father Lawrence Boone and Father Hubert Hagan, both of Louisville, were present in the sanctuary. Interment was in Trappist Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Thomas, Robert, James U., and T. J. Sweat, Harry Hicks, Samuel Willett.

CARD OF THANKS - We, the family of Mrs. V. I. Boone of New Haven, Ky., wish to express our deep appreciation of the kind expressions of sympathy extended to us in the death of our wife and mother who departed this life on February 2, 1952; especially do we wish to thank Father Gettelfinger, Father Lawrence Hardesty and Father Hartlage for their services; also Dr. Greenwell and son, Nich Greenwell. To our many friends who donated flowers we also owe a debt of gratitude. Our sincere thanks to these and any who participated in extending a helping hand. Mr. V. I. Boone and family.
