Rev. Charles H. "Pete" Pierce, 61, of LaFollette, died suddenly at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. He was a veteran of World War II [Rev. Pierce served in the US Army Air Corps] and a pastor of the Forks Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Pierce; one daughter and three sons; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forks Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Leonard Dabney and the Rev. Hershell Brown. Burial was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Roach Mortuary of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
