"Omer" married Rosetta Bernice Weaver on 29 Nov 1919 in Marion, Grant Co., Indiana. They had 5 children they named: Loran, Bernita "Bert" Louise, Virginia "Jean" Eileen, Delores "Dee" Eloise and Warren Brock.

My grandparents married a couple of years after grandpa graduated from high school. Over the years he became the owner of his own car dealership but then he went bankrupt in the crash of 1929. They lost everything and things were tough for a few years until he got a job at Dana where for the rest of his working career he relined the fire bricks in their steel furnaces.

Growing up with grandpa our diet could best be described as fried meat and gravy bread. Grandma always kept a crock on top of the stove to collect all the fat and meat drippings. As part of almost every meal she finished her cooking with a big skillet of gravy made from the old grease jar. Grandpa and I would finish a meal with a couple of slices of bread covered with this gravy and then clean our plates by wiping them off with a fresh piece of bread.
