South Bend IN Tribune, Wednesday, October 29, 1902:
Mrs. F. E. Lambert, of 515 West Marion street, passed away this morning at 1:15 o'clock from Bright's disease with which she had suffered for many years. For the past two and one-half years her condition had been serious and it was seldom that she was able to leave the house.
Mrs. Lambert, who was formerly Miss Mate E. Moomaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Moomaw, residing west of the city, was married to Mr. Lambert, one of South Bend's prominent attorneys, on Aug. 19, 1891. She was born March 3 (sic), 1863, on a farm about two miles west of the city. She received her early education in the public schools and in her younger years devoted much attention to the christian temperance movement in this city.
Besides her husband Mrs. Lambert leaves a daughter, Mildred E. Lambert, nine years of age, her parents, four brothers and three sisters. The brothers are William F., of Chicago; Cephus, Clinton and Dalton, of this city. The sisters are Mrs. Frankie Loshbough, of Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. L. L. Garber, of Lordsberg, Cal., and Miss Grace Moomaw, of this city. Mrs. Lambert was a splendid woman of thorough christian character and early in life she became a member of the Brethren church and retained the membership until her death. She was also a member of Schuyler Rebekah lodge, No. 39, of this city.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Henry Webb Johnson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church.
