Rinaldo Pasco "Perry" Hysell was born March 21, 1847 in Megis County, Ohio to Robert S. and Julia Ann (Hysell) Hysell. Later his family moved to Mount Prairie, Minnesota.

Civil War, Enlisted in Company G, Ohio 184th Infantry Regiment on 20 Feb 1865. Mustered out on 20 Sep 1865 at Nashville, Tennessee. He enlisted October 2, 1865, when he was 19 years old. From the Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio. (he was actually 18 years old)

ONE HUNDRED and EIGHTY-FOURTH INFANTRY
(One Year)
One Hundred and Eighty-fourth Infantry. - Col., Henry S. Commager; Lieut.-Col., Chandler W. Carroll; Maj., Ezra S. Dodd. This regiment was organized at Camp Chase in Feb., 1865, to serve for one year. Immediately after muster-in it was ordered to Nashville, Tenn., where it remained for a short time doing garrison duty. From Nashville it preceded to Chattanooga, thence to Bridgeport, Ala., which place it reached about March 21 and was engaged in protecting an important railroad bridge over the Tennessee river. It also guarded the track of the railroad between Bridgeport and Chattanooga, a distance of about 30 miles. On July 25 the regiment was ordered to Edgefield for garrison duty, and remained at the place until it was mustered out of service, Sept. 20, 1865, at Nashville, Tenn.

When he was 22 years old he married Nancy Florence Winkelblack on Dec 31, 1869 in Clark, Ohio. To this union were 2 children Bida and Laura. Florence and Rinaldo were divorced in 1874. Florence and Rinaldo's children took Winkelblack (Florence's maiden name) as their name.

Laura Winkelblack (1873 - 1954)

On March 29, 1879, he and Margaret Elizabeth Mary "Lizzie" Kuntz, were married in Missouri. They later moved to Hanover, Nebraska, then on to Bonesteel, South Dakota. He was a farmer.

To this union were 10 children:

Robert Henry Hysell (1880 - 1963)
Ada Belle Hysell Newcom (1883 - 1977)

Rinaldo passed away at the age of 61, on October 25, 1908. He is interned at Rosebud Cemetery, Bonesteel, South Dakota.
