Dorrence Cooper Quesenberry, of Blacksburg, Va., went home on Friday, December 25, 2009, after a year's illness to be with her Heavenly Father and to be reunited with her beloved husband, William "Bill" P. Quesenberry.

She was born in Giles County on October 16, 1926, to the late Isreal and Celia Cooper.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Rice, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Martha Quesenberry, of Radford; five grandchildren, Jimmy Rice Jr., Kimberly Brown and husband, Scott and Jason Rice, all of Pittsburgh, Glenn Quesenberry II and Jeff Quesenberry and wife, Autumn, of Radford; two great-grandchildren of Pittsburgh, Hailey and Noah Brown and Makenzie Quesenberry, of Radford; and special sister-in-law, Shelby Quesenberry and long time friend, Virginia Shaw, both of Blacksburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2009, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Ansley officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening, December 27, 2009, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
