William Chillis CHILL Gambill was the son of Martin Nelson Gambill and Margaret (Sparks) Gambill of eastern Kentucky. The Gambill family left the Ashland, Kentucky area ~1915 to homestead in Big Horn, Montana. Chill worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad as a section foreman for many years. He was killed by an unscheduled train while crossing over tracks at the train yard near Billings. He was a Veteran of WWI (US Army Mechanic Co B 362 Infantry) and served in France. He married Miss Oleta Lawless in Missoula, Montana in 1925.
