"Uncle Ad" McGee died at the home of his son, Milton McGee, near Timpson. A pioneer citizen of Joaquin, he was among the organizers of the Joaquin Baptist Church. Survivors included his widow; 5 sons: Matt, Abner, Jack, Jasper, and Milton; and 2 daughters. (Biography compiled by Sheron Smith-Savage. Adam was the son of William B. MCGEE & Rebecca Aurelia WISNER. He married Nancy JACKSON on 28 Jun 1868. They had eleven children: Rebecca A, Zachary Taylor, William Frank, Adam Fisher Jr, Emmaline Elizabeth, James Madison, Jasper Spivey, Jane Nancy, Abner Ben, Matthew & Milton Butler MCGEE.
