He had been a chef at the Country Club of Indianapolis, Meridian Hills Country Club, Broadmoor Country Club and Highland Golf and Country Club. Previously he was a chef at Cornell University for 25 years. A native of Baltimore, Md., he lived in Indianapolis 50 years and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and Elks Lodge 104. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Stuart Mortuary, where friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Survivors include his wife, Ethel E. Hailstork; a daughter, Mildred Cage; son, Thomas Craig; and a brother, Adolphus.
