Dr. William B. MacDonald, 64 years old, former superintendent of the City Hospital, and for many years one of the leading physicians in Marion County, died at his home in New Augusta yesterday afternoon.
Dr. MacDonald was born in Montgomery County in 1851 and he had resided in or near Indianapolis for the last thirty-seven years. He attended Wabash College and was graduated from the old Indiana Medical School of this city with the class of 1873.
Dr. MacDonald was a Scottish Rite Mason and a Knight Templar and a Shriner. He had been ill for several weeks with diabetes and pneumonia.
He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. O. H. Rogers of Fremont, Neb., and Mrs. Fielding Boles of Glasgow, Ky.
