Estella Toler Sowder, 80, of Westfield Boulevard, died yesterday in Methodist Hospital. Born in Carroll County, Mrs. Sowder lived in Indianapolis 57 years. A registered nurse, she was the widow of Dr. Charles Sowder. During World War I while he was in the service, she operated her husband's office (before they were maried). She was a member of Broad Ripple Christian Church.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Three half-brothers survive.
