Indianapolis News - Saturday, December 19, 1925:

David Wallace, son of William Wallace, formerly postmaster of Indianapolis and nephew of General Lew Wallace, is dead of pneumonia in New York, according to word received Friday by his mother, Mrs. Sarah Wallace of the Meridian apartments.

Mr. Wallace was fifty-two years old and was unmarried. He had spent his boyhood in Indianapolis and was widely known here. He had been living in New York many years where he had practiced law. The mother, two brothers, Lew Wallace, an attorney of this city, and Colonel William Wallace of the United States Army, survive

Friends will accompany the body from New York, arriving in Indianapolis Sunday night. Funeral services will be held at the home of John M. Judah on North Pennsylvania street on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
