Thomas Wright Wright was born in Ohio. Thomas' father was born in Maryland and his mother in Pennsylvania. About 1845, he married Laura Ann Worth and they had nine children. In addition to the seven, linked below, a twin daughter, Blucher, was born in 1859 and died before 1870. The unknown child died before age 10. About 1858, the family moved from Indiana to Jacksonville, Illinois. Thomas was a lumber merchant and they stayed in Jacksonville until after 1870. In 1880, Thomas was farming near Indianapolis, Indiana. Thomas was buried on November 5, 1890 in Crown Hill Cemetery.
