MOULTRIE
Jane Elizabeth O'Quinn, "Betty Jane" June, 85, of Moultrie died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at First Presbyterian Church of Moultrie with the Rev. Hugh Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville. Casketbearers will be Bill Acuff, Henry Klar, Andrew Christensen, Frank Horkan, Wayne Harris and Frank O'Quinn.
Born Oct. 22, 1919, in Thomas County, Mrs. June was the daughter of the late Lula Mae Cox O'Quinn and the late Julius Hansford O'Quinn. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Moultrie. Mrs. June served in the U.S. Army Air Corps Air Evacuation during World War II. She was a graduate of Thomas County High School and St. Margaret's School of Nursing in Montgomery, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Denny June.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Patricia Lee June of Moultrie and Jackie Lynne June of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Douglas O'Quinn of Chatsworth; five nieces, Shelley Douglas, Dawn Gore, Yvonne Norman Harnish, Judy Douglas Daws and Sue Norman; and a special friend, Linda Witt of Georgetown, Ind.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind, P.O. Box 5000, Rochester, MI 48308.
