Mrs. Sarah Hoover, age seventy-seven, of 2142 Brown Street, Fort Wayne, died suddenly Saturday night at 11:50 at the home of her brother, Isaac Sprowl, three miles west of Roanoke, after an illness of a little more than two hours of heart trouble. She had been visiting with the brother and his family.
Two sons, Ora and Irvin Hoover, of Fort Wayne, survive. Other relatives besides the brother at whose home she died are Joseph Sprowl, Warren, William Sprowl, Marion, Mrs. Retta Smith, Warren, and Mrs. Jennie Cline, Massilon, Ohio, brothers and sisters, and Ruby Brown, of New York City, a niece.
The body was brought to the Bailey funeral home in this city.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Ellen Hoover were held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren with the Rev. I. B. Wike in charge.
Burial was at the Lancaster Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Ellen Hoover, who died late Saturday night will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Lancaster church of the Brethren. The Rev. Mr. Barnes, of Fort Wayne, will be in charge.
The body will remain at the Bailey funeral home on West Park Drive until the hour of the funeral.
Burial will be at Lancaster.
Mrs. Hoover is survived by three children, Ora Hoover, Fort Wayne; Irvin Hoover, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Ruby Brown, of New York City.
One daughter is dead. One grandchild also survives. Mrs. Brown, the daughter, will arrive in this city Wednesday afternoon for the funeral.
Mrs. Hoover was born September 6, 1856, at Lancaster, to Davison and Mary Sprowl. and was married to James Hoover who died January 19, 1926.
