Scheurich Armetta May, daughter of Thomas and Emma Kelham, was born in DeKalb County, Ind. Dec. 1878; died at her home in Jefferson Twp Feb. 22, 1917, aged 38 years 1 month and 24 days. She married Samuel Scheurich Nov. 29, 1896. They had 2 sons and one daughter. One son, Adnah DeWayne, and one daughter, Ruth Ann, died in infancy. The husband; one son, Kenneth; the parents; 3 brothers, Frank, James and John Kelham of near Avilla; and one sister, Mrs. Alda Zellars of Fort Wayne remain. One brother, Fred, preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1909. She was a member of the Summit Church where funeral was held Sunday. Burial, Avilla Cemetery. ~2-28-1917
