KENNEWICK, Wash. - Former Pendleton resident Ronald Paul Bronson, 54, of Kennewick, Wash., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at his home. A potluck memorial dinner will be held from 3-6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28 at the Finley Grange, 22305 Morton Road, in Kennewick. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29 at the Agency Cemetery in Mission.
Mr. Bronson was born Nov. 13, 1955, in Pendleton to Virgil and Loretta Videl (Burke) Bronson. He was an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. He was educated in Pendleton, and attended Pendleton High School. In 2006 he married Carrie L. Kitchen in Finley, Wash.
He was a horse trainer by trade. He also worked in construction and as an iron worker.
Mr. Bronson is survived by his wife, Carrie L. Bronson; parents Virgil and Videl Bronson; sons Tyler Bronson, Jerome Bronson, Danny Pettichord and Riley Bronson; daughters Miranda Bronson, Jessi Mathews, and Christa Slaybaugh; brothers Richard Bronson and Punky Bronson; sisters Lawanda Bronson, Verna Ashley and Violet McGuire; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers Wendel Bronson and Bryson Bronson.
