Born on Gaffney, he was the son of Olin Phrone Butler of Gaffney and Shirley Wallace Marcoux and the step-son of Ray Marcoux, both of Gaffney. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and was a self-employed photographer. Mr. Butler was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Also surviving are two sisters, Angela Mateo and husband, Rafael of Gaffney and Cora Stepp and husband, Randy of Gaffney; a niece; and four nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Everette Wallace, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens
