John Aagaard
JUNCTION CITY — John C. "Ellis" Aagaard of Junction City died Dec. 24 of complications from cancer treatment. He was 64. A memorial service will be held later.
He was born Oct. 7, 1945, in Eugene, to Jon and Miriam Kersgaard Ellis. He married Gloria C. Williamson in Pleasant Hill on April 20, 1965.
He graduated from North Eugene High School and attended the Honors College at the University of Oregon.
He was a blues musician and a millworker at the Georgia Pacific plywood mill.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Aagaard of Junction City; and seven sisters and two brothers. A daughter, Heather Sloane Aagaard, died in 1981.
Arrangements by Aurora Cremation & Burial Services in Eugene. Remembrances to Lane Rural Fire Department, for the Franklin Station.
