ROSSVILLE, GA - Henry Keown, 84, formerly of LaFayette, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in a local hospital.
Mr. Keown was a member of Temple of Praise in Ringgold, GA and had taught Sunday school at LaFayette Church of God for 45 years. He was retired from the Walker County Telephone Co. and was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Janet Greene Patton.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Keown; stepgrandchildren, Kelley and Jeremy Morrison; great-grandchildren, Emily Kate (Katey) Morrison and Lauren Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Ingram officiating.
Burial will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from noon to 2 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville, GA.
