Mr. Harrill was born June 24, 1930, in Mecklenburg County the son of the late Joseph Edward Harrill, Sr. and the late Estelle (Stallings) Harrill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had been employed as an Automotive Parts Manager with General Motors for 40 years. He was a member of the Masons, Oasis Shrine, Elk Club and Moose Lodge. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved nature and all wildlife. He loved his family and took joy in providing for them. He was a member of Rocky River Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Letha Hill. Survivors include his son, Joey Harrill of Huntersville, NC; daughters, Deborah Harrill of Huntersville and Patricia Harrill of Mooresville, NC; grandson, Joseph Edward Harrill IV of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Peggy Alford, Mary Cochran, Nancy Kluttz and Anna Templeton; and many nieces and nephews.
