Bianca was the beloved Ferret 'Daughter' of findagrave contributor Frank Russo. Bianca truly was one-of-a-kind. She was a great individual who lived a great life. We got Bianca in the fall of 2004 after the death of our ferret Babe. She was small but very tough, and very single minded and independent. She was an albino mix, with deep red eyes, white fur and a small spot of darker fur near her hindquarters. Pound for pound, she was the toughest ferret we ever had. She loved to rough house with out cat Kitten, and also loved to play with her other brothers and sisters. She loved to get into everything and was extremely curious. She loved to try to steal the TV controls and loved to get ferret treat, especially Bandits, and ferret jerky. She not only came when called by her name, but also by her nickname, which was simply "B." She touched everyone that she met and was a special favorite of my mother Rose and wife Joanne, who named her. Bianca began losing weight in the fall of 2009. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to get her weight back up. We brought her to the Rutherford Animal Hospital for an emergency visit on December 30, 2009, where she was diagnosed with having advanced lymphoma. Deciding that it was time to let her go, we allowed her to cross peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge under the watchful eye of Dr. Cantamessa at about 11am. Before she left us, Joanne and I made sure that we held her and told her how much we loved her. We were very grateful that she still had all her faculties and was very much aware of who we both were. She even snuggled with both of us before she left us. We only had Bianca for a little over 5 years, but it was the best 5 years anyone could ask for. She is in God's hands now and is playing and running with her other brothers and sisters in Heaven. Of course, she will be missed every day of our lives, but, we also know that we will all one day be together when we cross over the Rainbow Bridge together. We love you Bianca. "Our Little Girl."
