Mary V. Adams Dies At Bluford At Age 89 Years
Mrs. Mary Viola Adams of 706 South 21 Street died at 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Schumm Nursing Home in Bluford at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and eight days. The body has been taken to Myers Chapel. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Adams was born May 28, 1874 in Marion, Ky., the daughter of Ervin and Sarah L. (Hughey) Parfitt. She was first married to Duff N. Pace, who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1906. She later married M. E. Moore, who preceded her in death in 1930. She was later married to Ed Adams, who preceded her in death in 1948.
She is survived by four sons, William E. Pace and Charles R. Pace, both of Evansville, Ind., Duffy M. Pace and Marvin L. Moore, both of Mt. Vernon, a daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Quinn of Dixon, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Logan Street Baptist Church.
