On last Wednesday evening "Uncle" Steve Brackett, one of the oldest residents of Tomahawk township, died of pneumonia fever. Mr. Brackett was close to 90 years of age, and had served during the Mexican War and also through the Civil War. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. We extend sympathy to the bereaved. Marshall Republican 8th. Burial was in Osborne Cemetery.
